Hi Jon I'm with you on the "not broke don't mess with it." I also understand the pain associated with upgrading when it finally does break. I've had to discard the old a lot more often than you have probably because I deliberately break 'em to test. I've found the Ubuntu/EMC2 to be much more robust than older systems.
