Hi all, As I said in a prior post, I am developing another interface based on emcsh. This one is to drive an LCD display over a serial or USB connection. I combined the common elements of emcrsh and the new program emclcd into a common module, shcom.cc, with header file shcom.hh. Emclcd at this point is just a shell.
My question is regarding emcsh, which I did not write, and obviously do not want to impact anyone using it. But the same common elements apply to emcsh.cc as well. These common elements are basically all of the NML messaging functions (IOW, almost everything but the tcl interfacing functions). Should I make the same modifications to emcsh.cc or just post my changes to emcrsh, add emclcd and leave it to someone using emcsh to make the appropriate changes if they choose? Currently emcsh is not showing an author in the source code, but was last updated by Alex Joni, although I thought the author was primarily John K (apologies to the actual author if I am in error).
