Now I am thinking about the custom made USB-LPT convertor for toy mill. I think it is worth trying at least; there might be latency issues, but in a custom port, this might be better. And since importance of the latency is relative to the machine speed and requested accuracy - you know what I mean: one microsecond at one meter per second is the same as one milisecond at one milimeter per second.
I think we should give the little girl a chance to have her own custom-made toys. This is why other crazy lame configurations were allowed too, so why not to add experimental USB interface kit made by another EMC2 user? On a re-think, I think it is worth a try. We said what all the disadvantages are, but nobody really ever tried a custom USB controller with a custom driver.
