EMC 2.2.5 is a version of the program EMC. There are binary packages available to run on Ubuntu 6.06 with real-time extensions as provided by our Live CD or our kernel packages. The source code can also be compiled for other operating system versions, as long as you either have a real-time kernel you made yourself, or are only interested in running the non-real-time simulator. Ubuntu 8.04 is a version of the operating system, not of a specific program. We will be releasing kernel packages for 8.04, and a Live CD. When that happens, there will be binary packages for EMC 2.2.5 that will run on that operating system.
