I asked Paolo Mantegazza about this, and he said it should be fairly 
harmless.
I'll include his answer further down, but I think the flood of WARNINGS he 
referrs only happens if the module is loaded.
Concluding I see no issue with having CONFIG_RTAI_RTDM enabled, and I'll 
build a sample package and verify there are no issues.
If so, I'll make it happen for 8.04.

Btw, the version we have right now is RTAI 3.6, but I plan to upgrade it to 
3.6.1 (currently I started testing vulcano-CVS, which is close to 3.6.1).

I do not know of any drawback in enabling RTDM. Since I have to test it
I work with it enabled. You should just check if on your systeme there
is or not the flood of WARNINGS related to entry points not found, but
which are OK, related to the making of modules in Linux env. It does no
harm but is a bit annoying. I do not see them though.
