Hello, I downloaded and installed ubuntu-8.04-desktop-emc2-aj07-i386.iso, compiled rtnet on it and tried it. And it works ! Thanks guys.
I just had to patch /usr/realtime-2.6.24-16-rtai/share/rtai/config-rtai-3.6 to make rtnet configure work: I added the line CONFIG_RTAI_RTDM="m" In general, the new config-rtai-3.6 is much shorter than the config-rtai-magma on an ubuntu 6.06 LTS installation. wc -l: 99 u604 /usr/realtime-2.6.15-magma/share/rtai/config-rtai-magma 39 u804 /usr/realtime-2.6.24-16-rtai/share/rtai/config-rtai-3.6 308 u604 /usr/realtime-2.6.15-magma/include/rtai_config.h 345 u804 /usr/realtime-2.6.24-16-rtai/include/rtai_config.h It looks like the older config-rtai had most of the infos from rtai_config.h, whereas the new config-rtai only has a small part of these infos. This is what breaks rtnet-configure and makes the above patch necessary. Yet do not know if this smaller config-rtai is wanted or where it comes from. I would appreciate a more verbose config-rtai, but I can also live without it.
