Gentle Persons:

It's not so easy to find but if I click on the "Basic Installation" link
under New Installation on the Download page of our website I get to
http://www.linuxcnc.org/index.php/english/download/21?task=view

On this page under "If you prefer to start with the distributed Ubuntu
CD..." is the statement

"Step 3: Now an linuxcnc-install.sh icon will appear on your Desktop."

Well, no, it won't, not if the default Firefox and its default settings
are used, because it will be downloaded to ~/Downloads, not to
~/Desktop. Perhaps if some other browser is used the file might end up
on the Desktop.

Apart from that, the instructions for an install to an existing Ubuntu
10.04 Lucid Lynx worked fine.

Regards,
Kent

PS- If there were a web-master link on the website I could pass such
comments directly but I don't see it.
