I too feel the demo G code should just run but the creator of the splash 
screen file created it so it would not run without some understanding of 
the G code file. So I added the first few lines that are always visible 
when you start the Axis interface and they explain what you have to do 
to make it run. If you want demos that run try the Ngcgui demos as they 
all work out of the box AFAIK.
