Gmoccapy is available in the development branch master (often referred as 2.6)
You don't have to compile -packages are available from the buildbot.
master is not guaranteed to be stable at any one moment but we try.
Gmoccapy is still being developed so can have issues or changes pop up,
though Norbert is pretty quick to fix what he finds.
Quite a few people use master in production machines.
Gmoccapy and Gscreen are not available in the released 2.5 series.
