I agree, volunteering to do this task would be a valuable contribution 
to the project.  Thank you Filipe!

A good way to track incoming patches might be to put them in the Feature 
Request part of our bug tracker?

In addition to tracking incoming patches, tracking incoming bug reports 
(at https://sf.net/p/emc/bugs/) would be very helpful too.  I think 
sometimes bug reports on the mailing list slip through the cracks when 
no developer steps up to deal with it right away.
