Hello Ligações, for the lathe I have been working on, we decided that a rear tool post lathe means that the X plus direction goes away from the operator and changes the tool tip orientation notation. The axes change can be done by rotating the view (right-handed rule, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Right-hand_rule ) around Z or spindle axis, such that X points away. Or, you can do as I have done so far which is to reverse the direction of the graphic features making for a left-handed axis configuration. Some of my early work is here: http://wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?Gremlin Tool orientation may be considered part of this issue: http://wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?BackToolLathe http://wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?Lathe_Advanced_Features There may be other rear or back tool lathe issues that should be addressed. So far, my approach has been to just get what I need working and move on, it would be better to have a well thought out system overview that outlines the basic features and how they are connected. From what I can tell, Gremlin is based on an OpenGL minigl version that has been static for many years and has no documentation that I can find. Moving to a modern OpenGL might make a pretty darn good thing even better. -- Kirk Wallace http://www.wallacecompany.com/machine_shop/ http://www.wallacecompany.com/E45/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ CenturyLink Cloud: The Leader in Enterprise Cloud Services.
