Now THAT is a worth end goal for many GUI enhancements ;-)

Seriously though.  If you/we ever get this to fully supported with a 
CNC GUI, it should be showcased.  Also, we should place a bounty on some 
of the bugs to support this type of machine mechanisms.  To bad we 
cannot find a dozen of them to be given off to people who solve various 
problems (or who can pick them cheap to retrofit).

Actually, if you decrease the resolution of the picture (so that it 
does not take so long to load up -- and I have fiber to the house), then 
it would make a nice photo for the poster-child of multi-tool/multi-axis 
controls on a lathe.  It might help get people thinking about how t to 
display the axes (like creating a line art version of the machine with 
arrows from the different axes to position indicators -- and maybe even 
highlight each of the axis when it is in motion)...
