Where I need a proper angle. like to sharpen a tool, I mount the tool at 
the clearance angle, make sure the mill is sitting level, then run the 
table till a level against the side of the tool says its straight up and 
home to that.  For making threading tools that has worked very well.  Then 
run it to plus or minus 60 degrees and sharpen away, using a diamond coated 
dremel disk in an .125" collet in the mill spindle.  I only bring the disk 
down a thou at a time, stopping when I can see steel or carbide dust 
drifting away in a strong light, then I sweep the table around to avoid the 
one tall diamond scratch.  Thst is not the same clearance on both sides of 
course, so I tend to use a tip up clearance that makes sure there is 
clearance on the push side of a g76 cycle.
