I'm working on a mill UI now, using Glade (plain non-VCP version) with Python. I'm not the best programmer, so I need to search for working examples of what I need, then adapt what I find to my needs. In this case, there is much more current material to pull from. My vote is for Glade/Python. So far there are no speed issues with many layers of tabs, DROs, Gremlin and what-not.
