Yes it does.....Listen I am a user I am not nearly as smart or advanced as you. We use what we have to work with and wish it worked more like our commercial controls Ex. Jog while paused, separate tool and wear off-set pages. The bottom line is I do appreciate what you guys do for us users and I do not want to hold up development in any way but I also have operators and machinists that resist change way more than I do...LOL . I just wanted to give my prespective....Thanks Jeff Johnson [email protected] Superior Roll & Turning 734-279-1831 -----Original Message----- From: Chris Radek [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, May 30, 2014 10:22 AM To: EMC developers Subject: Re: [Emc-developers] RFC: Support for multiple tool offsets (aka wear offsets) On Fri, May 30, 2014 at 09:29:35AM -0400, Jeff Johnson wrote: > As a long time lathe operator and shop owner I hate to see the wheel > re-invented. I'd really like to know whether this (as you say, 40-year-old) behavior can be emulated using a simple remap setup. The combination of coding the flexible superset capability into the interpreter itself, and then emulating the much more limited system in remap, seems appealing. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- Time is money.
