What elements of UBC are important to you? UBC mainly seemed to support Xenomai and the small SoC ARM boards. There is a separate (much smaller-scoped) development branch (jepler/uspace) that allows realtime hardware to run in POSIX threads which apparently works fine for Mesa hardware at least.
