OK, further info. On this Wheezy-preempt system, kernel
messages from RT components do NOT show up in dmesg!
But, if you run LinuxCNC from the command line, these
messages from RT components/drivers do show up in the
standard output.
So, although I get the par port not found error, the ppmc
driver does talk to the PWM controller, IF I specify the
epp_dir=1 option on the loadrt command line. And, THIS
install of the 2.7.14 does accept that option.
I suppose this system is working well enough to test this
specific issue, but I'd like to get the latency issue
solved, as it has latency worse than half the servo period!
