Just search for "0802 ballscrew". They even sell them on Amazon.

I even widened the search, but did not find a nut that matched these. They were nominally 5/8" OD with external return tubes, no flange or threads, just a bare cylinder with returns so I had to make cages for the nuts which was fine because neither lathe had the clearance to pass a flanged nut. Ideal for tight spaces such as the x feed on either lathe. No room for swarf shielding on the 7x12, so x is gritty now, but I shielded both screws on the sheldon, x by sealing up the whole screw channel top and bottom, Z by twin bellows on the screw with the center holes in the nut drilled thru so air can get thru the nut to equalize pressure as it moves. No noise, moves like Casper the ghost with the 3 phase stepper/servo's.

I have been meaning to ask what size of wheel and grit is used to grind the valley in the top of an hss cutoff blade like Jon mentioned in a recent thread?

Thanks Andy, now I know what to search for.

Cheers, Gene Heskett.
