Sounds like an "RSK" nut:

As an aside:
The RSH is an odd one, as the nut for the 16mm screw is 25.4mm dia,
whereas the 12mm screw has a 29.5mm OD. The difference is that the 16mm has
an external ball return tube not shown in any photos. But if you work round
that it can be very useful (I have one in my mill and one in the lathe)
