I just added a system to create modbus drivers for mesa cards to 2.9

As things stand it doesn't do anything for installed LinuxCNC except add
docs.

The next step is to add the various scripts and templates to the
linuxcnc-dev package, but I am not entirely sure how to do that.

I have a need for a refresher course on the proper usage of the new at-pid module now used in master. I've some nasty problems with it and the accuracy of my machines that use it has gone to the dogs, hunting and drifting when supposedly still. If it can't be solved, I'll have to rip them out and put stepper/servos on this go704 at around $250/axis.

The effects of deadband and idb both need need to be discussed/explained. I can't find a truly stable setting anyplace. The docs are now above 1300 pages and don't seem to xref this as well as 5 years ago.

Cheers, Gene Heskett.
