GitHub offers "artifacts" that can be retrieved from successful builds.
So, our htmldocs builds could offer these. And then there is a way to link
such artifacts with tags or releases for the public to download. That would
serve most of our needs, I tend to think. It is on my to-do list for another
project that I am contributing to, did not get around to it, though.

Something like https://readthedocs.org is kind of expected by many these days.
Nothing to frown upon.
If this saves us (read: you) some work to offer the very latest documentation 
that
master has to offer then I am all up for it.
