This cannot be further from the truth. There are many very professional
machines all over the world running on linuxcnc. I have been building
machines for a very long time as my prime business, and I will not use
any other controller but Linuxcnc. I am busy with a six axis plasma cnc
machine that I would not be able to do with any other controller.
Just because it is open source does not make it hobby grade.
