Certainly all the realtime modules are different. (the .so file become .ko with RTAI) Actually it's even more complicated than this. lunuxcnc-uspace can run with an RTAI or Xenomai kernel, using LXRT.[1] So there are potentially 4 different combinations of linuxCNC and kernel that will work. [1] I have not figured out how to create the linuxcnc-rtai and linuxcnc-xenomai helper packages since 2.8, though. I think it was some makefile-magic that Jeff may have pulled out when he unilaterally unsupported RTAI -- atp "A motorcycle is a bicycle with a pandemonium attachment and is designed for the especial use of mechanical geniuses, daredevils and lunatics." — George Fitch, Atlanta Constitution Newspaper, 1912 _______________________________________________ Emc-developers mailing list Emc-developers@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-developers
