On the LCNC webpage https://linuxcnc.org/downloads/ it states:
! LinuxCNC 2.9.4 Raspberry Pi 5 OS based on Debian Bookworm Raspberry Pi
! 5 Uspace compatible with Mesa Ethernet boards. Note that SPI is not
! currently supported with the Pi5.
However, the RPi5 is fully SPI compatible and supported with the new
hm2_spix driver, which is included in 2.9.4.
The page should be updated to reflect the change of status.
