I need to make up my mind a bit about what I expect from a LiveCD/DVD/USB-stick and if this is the same for the RPi and regular PCs. My hunch why I think one wants to have more than the mere controller on the LiveCD is that one wants to allowed to make smallish adjustment to a document, not for anything de novo. That said - for quick smaller jobs and/or for a first contact with a "CNC with Linux environment" - why not. Still, I am concerned about any such stick to be considered "bloated". I recall this was one of the first reactions of me suggesting to add some CAD/CAM-associated applications. And I concur, there is some beauty in being minimal and maybe it is worthwhile to offer any such minimalistic presentation of what LinuxCNC can do. I just do not exactly know what this is. HAL plus some remote access? Best, Steffen _______________________________________________ Emc-developers mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-developers
