Yes. I would look under the table for Electrochemical Potentials. You will find that Magnesium can only be used with Zinc or Zinc alloys or 80 tin/20 Zn on steel of Zn on Iron or stell for 0.05v and 0.55v respectively. Any other combination of dissimilar metals with Magnesium drives the electrochemical potential above the 0.6v barrier.
