Dear Robert:
The safety standard in Australia and New Zeland is AS/NZS 3260 (1993), almost
identical to IEC 950 (1991). This standard also has modifications like AS/NZS
3260 Am. 1 (1993), almost identical to IEC 950 Am. 1, but I am not sure about
the last modification published.
Bye

I received a recent request from a potential customer for an industrial PC
that meets the following 2 specifications.

Australian Standard 2380.7-1987 and IEC 79-11.

I am not familiar with these standards and would appreciate any information
on these standards. Ideally, I would like to know what these standards
cover, as well as how close the US counterparts come to meeting them.

For example, if these are product safety standards for ITE, how close does
UL1950 come!!

Thanks in advance for any information that you guys have on these standards!
