Robert, Both these standards cover Explosion Protection Techniques - Intrinsic Safety. They have absolutely nothing to do with UL 1950. The UL standard for "intrinsic safety" is UL 913 but it is not equivalent to nor harmonized with these other two standards. I doubt that any industrial PC is or can be made "intrinsically safe." The normal protection methods for industrial PC's are "flameproofing" or "air purging." This is a specialty and there are companies that make special enclosures for PC's that must be located in "flammable atmospheres". One that comes to mind is Daisy Systems.
