My read of IEC 1010 clause 6.1.1 would allow you to have accessible hazardous live parts without an interlock if the conditions under exceptions are met. Your message correctly quoted the conditions of the second dash. Amendment 2 changes the wording of the first two lines under clause 6.1.1 but does not change the wording of the second dash.
If you can support the position that it is unavoidable for operating reasons that these parts be both accessible and hazardous live then the exceptions are allowed (this is the part that was moved from the third dash to the first few lines in amendment 2). I would also suggest that you take the approach in #1 under "NOTES" in clause 6.1.1 for any accessible hazardous live parts that can be protected from unintentional contact. _________________________________________________________________ Bob M.
