We use a McIntosh MC2600 stereo/mono audio amplifier. It is 600w stereo, 1000w mono and can be configured for output impedances of 16, 8, 4, 2 or 1 ohm. We also use this amp for CS101. Although you could get by with about 200w, the extra power is often helpful. Even though the amp is rated only to 20 kHz, it has only a slight roll off at 100 kHz. And the Grateful Dead used 'em for years for concert amplification!
