Clause 2.5.2 of EN 60950 states that "class II equipment shall have no provision for protective earthing, except that it may be provided with a means for maintaining the continuity of protective earthing circuits to other equipment in a system. If class II equipment has an earth connection for functional purposes, the functional earth circuit shall be separated from parts at hazardous voltages by double or reinforced insulation."
I don't know if this would apply in your case. IEC 320 3-pin inlets are generally not allowed in class II equipment. Even if you provide a cord with your equipment there is a chance that if the cord is lost or damaged a generic power cord will be used. Patty Elliot TUV Rheinland of N.A.
