I want to specify in a user manual the use of IEC 127 fuses rather than U.S./Canadian fuses, and need to find wording that is clear and concise, especially to Americans. Suggestions please?
Since the fuse curves are significantly different, the use of the American style fuse can lead to premature fuse opening. The fuse I want: 5 x 20 mm F 1A 250V (Low or High break capacity) per IEC 127-2 sheet 1 or 2, typically SEMKO approved, UL and CSA recognized, such as Bussmann GDA or GDB Littelfuse 216 Schurter SP or SFS The fuse I DON'T want: 5 X 20 mm fast-blo 1A 250V per UL & CSA standards, Listed by UL and CSA, such as Bussmann GMA Littelfuse 235 Anyone have any favorite wording?
