Hello from San Diego:
Two questions about Euro cordage:
1. <HAR> mark.
I have heard that this mark can only be used when
the cordage is manufactured in a factory physically
located within the HAR countries. Is this true?
Can you cite the HAR regulation?
2. CE mark.
I have heard the the CE mark can and should be
applied to cordage. Is this true?
If so, can you cite the regulation?
If so, does the CE mark replace the <HAR> mark?
Related questions:
A. Are the HAR countries the same as the EC countries?
(I believe that the HAR countries do not include all
of the EC countries, e.g., Greece. I believe HAR
includes Norway, which is not a EC country.)
What countries are in the HAR agreement?
B. What is/are the EN standard(s) that apply to cordage?
Were these standards published in the Euro Journal?
Date?
C. If the HAR is still in effect, what is the current
authority that manages the HAR agreement?
Thanks for your help.
Best regards,
Rich
