Lisa, This depends on what type of report you have for your CE marking. If you have a CB report from an agency then CSA will accept that and they will probably do a couple of test to include the national deviations and then grant you the CSA mark. They also have a partnership with BSI in the UK. So if you have a test report from BSI, then you are almost there. Let us know what type of report you have before we can help you more.
Thanks and happy holiday Homi Ahmadi Cortech Systems [email protected] on 12/23/98 06:02:12 AM Please respond to [email protected] To: [email protected] cc: (bcc: Homi Ahmadi/CORTECH) Subject: CE and CSA Maybe someone can clarify this for me. I have a product which is currently CE approved including LVD to 61010 that I also wish to have CSA approved for use in Canada. I know at one time there were conflicting requirements but now I believe that CSA uses 61010 as well. What is involved in getting both approvals? Does it require a retest by CSA to verify 61010 compliance or will they accept the report done for the CE mark? Any help would be appreciated. Happy Holidays!
