Arjen, We supply motor controls and drives for industrial use, and have locks on every door of our equipment - some key operated, others requiring a wrench to open. It's one of the first things that the CSA or UL inspectors look for. The only "exception" in our case is when multiple doors on one cabinet are interlocked - but this is the equivalent of having an internal lock anyway, with one master lock/door. I've never seen the rule "interpreted" otherwise - the only arguments appear to have been concerning the level of hazardous voltage - we always consider anything above 24 volts as hazardous - this satisfies all standards of which I'm aware, although some standards go as high as 48 volts (or the 6mA limitation) Chris Gilks
