In my opinion, that's pure CYA based on product safety litigations and
abrogation of common sense and self responsibility.
Several years ago, when labels propagated faster than rabbits, we - in the
company I worked for - considered seriously how to enlarge the rear apron of
a display terminal to have enough space to accomodate a label in English,
French, Spanish and German!
