Allen, The European Union (EU), formerly known as the European Community, is comprised of the following member countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom. In 1994, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway adopted the EU legislation, including regulations for the CE marking. These three countries plus the 15 EU countries form the European Economic Area (EEA).
