Hi Everyone,

I once had (thought I had) this problem. At least one version of this
problem anyway.

If I send an email to the list server, it echoes that email to all members.
If you send an email to the list server, the same thing happens.

But when I reply to an email that I receive from the server, you might
receive two copies of my reply. One copy will come from the server, one
copy will come directly from me. This has to do with the reply button I
choose. If I reply to sender, then only the sender gets the mail directly
from me. If I reply to all, then the list gets a copy and so does the
sender.

You can tell the difference because all emails from the server carry that
little note at the bottom that starts out: "This message is coming from the
emc-pstc discussion list." The email that came directly from me will not
have that little note at the bottom. Sometimes you will have to read the
entire trail to see if the number of notes match the number of emails.
Sometimes you cannot tell because people like me tend to delete a lot of
extraneous stuff from their replies.

If you check very thoroughly and decide that you are receiving exact
duplicates, then you might think about asking your in-house mail handlers
first. If that does not clear up the problem, you might contact one of the
list administrators. You may need to send both of the duplicates to someone
in order for them to clear the problem up.
