The upshot is that fuel cells for home use will either not use hydrogen at all (e.g., methanol), or will use another hydrocarbon as the input fuel with an internal reformer to make hydrogen "on the fly". Hydrogen will not be transported or stored in significant quantities, whether as a gas, a metal hydride, or a liquid.
