Robert, I've just done part of this excercise. I took two rooms and made them into one big one. On paper this appeared to be an easy task. I can assure you that is is a huge amount of work.
In my rooms I had no lining to cope with, I would expect this to make the task more difficult: especially if you plan to re-use it.
