My sources of information is Art Wall from the FCC who actually negotiated the agreement with Taiwan, Mr. Ming-Der Wu, Director of the 3rd Department at BSMI and also the Canadian Trade Office in Taiwan. I guess these are pretty good sources.

From what I know it has never been officially announced and I know many US based test laboratories who do not even know about this.
It will be good to know the source of this information/news. I know that test report (in BSMI format) is required for submitting BSMI application. Does this means the manufacturer of the product must test at their local test labs?
Not if you are in a country that has designated laboratories.
If there's no local accredited test lab, is it a must to sent to Taiwan labs for testing?
It seems so...
What if a product is deisgn & manufacturered in country A (does not have any accredited lab) and sent for testing in USA accredited test lab via their USA branch office. Is this approach still possible?
