Ø Perhaps "emerging countries" is not the best terminology. "Emerging standards" may be more appropriate. Are you talking about new IEC, EN, TBR standards? [Perhaps "emerging standards" is not correct either. However one chooses to call it, most manufacturers are having to obtain more certifications in more countries than they did a few years ago. I know we are.] Ø Many already have well developed approval processes, but some, such as Poland, can be very difficult to completely satisfy at times. Be specific. Do not generalize. [I have always addressed any agency concerns to that agency, not publicly. Our contacts at the PCBC are aware of our frustration over some unique requests.
