Not if your running ±130VDC on Tip/Ring...but of course, this would be something other than POTS.

At present, the FCC in Part 68 does not have any requirements for xDSL equipment. Regards, Wolf Josenhans pmerguer...@itl.co.il (Peter Merguerian) on 01/26/2000 02:15:11 AM Please respond to pmerguer...@itl.co.il (Peter Merguerian) Sent by: pmerguer...@itl.co.il (Peter Merguerian) To: emc-p...@majordomo.ieee.org cc: ico...@itl.co.il (Wolfgang Josenhans/MW/US/3Com) Subject: HDSL Dear All, I would like to investigate (to UL1950 Third Edition) a unit intended for N. America with an HDSL interface having max 260 Vdc between the lines and 130 V between each line and earth. The maximum current limitation is 75 mA. How is this interface treated? Since it does not meet the requirements for TNV-1, TNV-2, TNV-3, I believe it should be treated as a secondary hazardous circuit but also applying the requirements for Overvoltage and output current limiting requirements. Also, does any one know the status of HDSL with FCC? Peter Merguerian Managing Director Product Testing Division I.T.L. (Product Testing) Ltd.
