I believe all ADSL and  HDSL interfaces that use POTS wiring should meet the
safety requirements of a TNV-3 circuit.

At present, the FCC in Part 68 does not have any requirements for xDSL
equipment.

Dear All,

I would like to investigate (to UL1950 Third Edition) a unit intended for
N. America with an HDSL interface having max 260 Vdc between the lines and
130 V between each line and earth. The maximum current limitation is 75 mA.
How is this interface treated?

Since it does not meet the requirements for TNV-1, TNV-2, TNV-3, I believe
it should be treated as a secondary hazardous circuit but also applying the
requirements for Overvoltage and output current limiting requirements.

Also, does any one know the status of HDSL with FCC?
