Dear all, I have a doubt concerning IEC60335-1, paragraph 7.8, which is reproduced below:
7.8 Except for TYPE Z ATTACHMENT, terminals used for connection to the supply mains shall be indicated as follows: terminals intended exclusively for the neutral conductor shall be indicated by the letter N; protective earthing terminals shall be indicated by the IEC 417 Protective Earth Symbol. Question: Is it possible to have two protective earth symbols in the same appliance? Reason: Part where the symbol is stamped is common to two product models. Due to design constraints, the location where the protective earth symbol is fastened cannot be the same in both products. Thanks in advance for any input.
