Since there are no standards notified by the Commission whose scopes cover military equipment, such equipment falls under Article 10.2 of the Directive. In Britain, the Defence Research Agency is a Notified Body, as is the Radiocommuncations Agency. Similar government-associated bodies are Notified Bodies in other countries. British military equipment has to meet applicable military EMC requirements and is extensively tested to ensure that it does so.
