Thanks everyone - I have my answer. By the way, the LVD is in fact applicable, because the product in question creates 120Vac from the 12Vdc it gets from the car.
So the answer is that since the EMCD is not applicable where the AEMCD is applicable, there is nothing wrong with a CE Mark and a Declaration only to the LVD.
