Being interested by the subject, I followed closely this thread. Found pertinent comments and also a very impolite one like "This appears to be a case of not reading the standard. Please buy a copy and read it." This last one comes in flagrant contradiction with the other emails and with the professionalism of this forum.
I would raise the question about how a power supply with only basic insulation between input and output is suitable for PCs with male D-subs, or for PC headphones which are not isolated for 1500V rms. It would be interesting to see the opinion of our colleagues working in the PC industry.
