Dear All We are carrying out EMC testing to Controlling standard EN61326, which calls up basic standard EN61000-4-5 for surge testing. We have carried out the direct injection of mains ports, and unscreened cables and that is understood. What l am getting confused with is the need to test screened cables. I far as l understand there is no need to test the screen, but does this mean l don't have to carrying out surge testing on screened cables. Thanks for your help inadvance. Regards Ian White
