What is the difference that you observe? The connector does have two
versions, one with a keyway recess in the free connector moulding and
one without, but this is not in principle a USA/Europe thing. The one
with the keyway is rated at 10 A and the one without is rated at 6 A.
The temperature rise limits are also different.
