Amund,

If your TV is intended for use whilst the vehicle is running then it should be
"e" marked to 95/54/EC.

This directive is product specific and includes the tests for radiated
emissions and susceptibility. However note that it does not deal with
conducted phenomena! so you may want to CE as well using ISO7637.

Don't know about your approvals authority - in the UK its the VCA (Vehicle
Certification Agency) an executive arm of the Govt. Department of Transport
etc. and who witness tests in an approved test house.

Guess you need to find the Swedish equivalent!

Subject: Automotive directive

Hi all,

1. A mobile digital TV receiver can be installed in a vehicle. I
assume the EU Automotive Directive 95/54/EC apply, Correct ? But does
the directive point to any standards that shall be used?

2. Does anybody know a Scandinavian authority who can issue an
Approval according to Automotive Directive 95/54/EC?

Thanks all!

Best regards
Amund Westin, Oslo/Norway
